Information Technology Planning, Studies, and Assessment.

NITC Team activities in this category include, but are not limited to the following activities:

  • Support organization in preparing annual reporting requirements, including developing data collection systems and methodologies on both national and state-by state bases
  • Assist organizational Chief Information Officers (CIO) and Information Resources Management Officials (IRMO) to implement the Clinger-Cohen Act
  • Conduct Strategic Planning and Annual Planning
  • Perform Information Technology Research, Evaluation, and Assessment
  • Support both information technology capital planning and assessment. IT assessment includes business case analysis (costs/benefit and risk), performance measurements, independent validation and verification of systems development projects as well as measuring IT progress, return on investment, earned value, and compliance with federal interoperability standards and enterprise architectures as intended by the Clinger-Cohen Act
  • Conduct studies and analyses designed to further enhance agency compliance with, but not limited to, OMB Circulars A-76 and A-130.
